Cross Hauling Hoists

Cross Hauling hoists

Red Rooster’s ‘Cross Hauling’ Air Hoists are suitable for working fully loaded at angles up to 45 degrees from the vertical, allowing loads to be moved horizontally from a fixed position. The air hoists can be used for positioning and transferring loads operating at an angle with the load chains under tension between hoists. The safety factor built into the hoist means that the weight of the load being lifted/transferred will not cause either hoist to be overloaded during operation.

About our Cross Hauling Hoists

Key features and components of a cross-hauling air hoist typically include:

  • Balanced Load Distribution:

By using multiple hoists, you can achieve more balanced load distribution. This helps prevent strain on any single point or equipment, reducing the risk of equipment failure and ensuring safer lifting operations.

  • Versatility and Flexibility:

Cross-hauling enables lifting in different directions and angles, offering greater flexibility in handling materials or equipment in various orientations. This versatility is particularly useful in complex lifting scenarios.

  • Improved Control:

With multiple hoists working in tandem, operators can have better control and precision during lifting operations. This allows for more refined adjustments and finer positioning of the load.

  • Load Capacity:

The hoist's load capacity will vary depending on its design and specifications. It is important to ensure that the hoist's capacity matches the weight of the load you intend to move. Red Rooster offers cross hauling air hoists with capacities ranging from 1 tonne to 30 tonnes.

Cross-hauling air hoists are often used in industrial settings, such as manufacturing facilities, construction sites, shipyards, and under deck offshore, where heavy objects need to be lifted, positioned, and transported horizontally between hoists. They offer advantages in terms of precision, efficiency, and safety, as they can be controlled with great accuracy and are less labour-intensive compared to manual methods.
